The Naim Axess exploits Naim's
innovative loudspeaker design philosophies to bring truly outstanding
performance into the multi-channel arena - but in a small, easy to accommodate
package.
Each of the two 130mm Naim custom
mid/bass drive units are housed in separate enclosures within
the main cabinet. Naim PAR (precision acoustic resistance) units
precisely control the movement of air between these separate enclosures
and the main cabinet, ensuring consistent and accurate loading
of the individual drive units, irrespective of loudness.
The wide-dispersion Scan-Speak tweeter is mounted
on its own suspension mounting plate isolating it from the other
drive units to provide the same seamless transparency as it does
on the flagship DBL loudspeaker.
Each drive unit is individually selected and
computer matched. The drivers are shielded to enable use in close
proximity to the monitor.
The elegantly styled cabinet uses extensive
bracing combined with a non-parallel surfaces to reduce internal
standing waves. The cabinet colorations and resonances are further
controlled and reduced by the application of Naim thermally stable,
aluminium, mass dampers to the internal cabinet walls.
Available in a range of modern, real wood veneers,
the Axess provides a vivid, clear perspective
of soundtracks and multi-channel recordings.
